Candidate for
TOWN SUPERVISOR, TOWN OF BALLSTON

Introduction

Hello friends and neighbors,

I was fortunate to have a wonderful childhood growing up in the Village of Ballston Spa. The schools, the sports, the town pool, the parades, and riding my bike just about everywhere created memories that still make me smile. It was a community where people knew each other, looked out for one another, and took pride in where they lived. Those early experiences shaped who I am and why community service matters so much to me.

After college, I headed west and met the love of my life. Now in our 29th year of marriage, we decided in 2018 to return home to the Town of Ballston with our two sons. We wanted them to grow up with the same sense of community and opportunity that meant so much to me.

Education has always been central to my life. I continue to love walking into the classroom each day and have taught Government, Economics, Psychology, Video Production, and News Casting at Schenectady High School. Teaching young people about civic responsibility and critical thinking has deeply influenced the way I approach leadership.

Outside of education, my wife and I have always embraced hard work and entrepreneurship. Together, we have led three small businesses: a residential cleaning company, an inflatable bounce house business, and for 15 years, we operated an inn. Running small businesses taught us about budgeting, customer service, problem-solving, and the realities that local business owners face every day.

Life has truly been an adventure — and I’m grateful for every step of the journey.

Town Supervisor

Serving as Town Supervisor from 2020 through 2025 has been the most rewarding — and at times most challenging — part-time role I have ever undertaken. I am proud of what we accomplished together as a community, and I remain excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. As I seek a fourth two-year term, I look forward to continuing to serve our outstanding community at both the town and county levels.

I believe smart, responsible economic development is essential to maintaining a strong and vibrant community. Growth is inevitable, but it must be managed thoughtfully. This means continuing to improve our infrastructure, protecting our natural resources, and refining our zoning laws so that development reflects the values and vision of our residents.

My work on various County committees helps me stay informed about regional initiatives and emerging opportunities, ensuring that Ballston remains proactive rather than reactive. My goal is simple: to preserve what makes our Town special while positioning us for a strong, sustainable future.

It is an honor to serve this community — the same community that helped shape my life —, and I am committed to continuing that service with energy, integrity, and common sense.
