Hello friends and neighbors,

I was fortunate to have a wonderful childhood growing up in the Village of Ballston Spa. The schools, the sports, the town pool, the parades, and riding my bike just about everywhere created memories that still make me smile. It was a community where people knew each other, looked out for one another, and took pride in where they lived. Those early experiences shaped who I am and why community service matters so much to me.

After college, I headed west and met the love of my life. Now in our 29th year of marriage, we decided in 2018 to return home to the Town of Ballston with our two sons. We wanted them to grow up with the same sense of community and opportunity that meant so much to me.

Education has always been central to my life. I continue to love walking into the classroom each day and have taught Government, Economics, Psychology, Video Production, and News Casting at Schenectady High School. Teaching young people about civic responsibility and critical thinking has deeply influenced the way I approach leadership.

Outside of education, my wife and I have always embraced hard work and entrepreneurship. Together, we have led three small businesses: a residential cleaning company, an inflatable bounce house business, and for 15 years, we operated an inn. Running small businesses taught us about budgeting, customer service, problem-solving, and the realities that local business owners face every day.

Life has truly been an adventure — and I’m grateful for every step of the journey.
