Transparency Improvements

Over the past six years of my leadership, we have made significant strides in enhancing transparency within our community. It all began with a complete overhaul of our website during my first term. Our new site now features alerts that allow anyone to create an account and receive text messages or emails whenever a new update is posted. Whether it’s a water main break, a Town Hall closure, or a meeting cancellation, you can stay informed in real-time.
We also took advantage of federal American Rescue Plan Act funds to upgrade our main meeting hall with state-of-the-art streaming equipment. This improvement means residents can easily access past meeting minutes or watch recordings of Town Board, Planning Board, and Zoning Board of Appeals meetings from the comfort of their homes.
Additionally, we have enhanced our communication efforts through Town Facebook posts and the creation of the quarterly Ballston Bulletin publication. Keeping our residents informed will always be a top priority for me, as an engaged community allows us, the Town Board members, to better serve those who elected us. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve further, I would love to hear your thoughts!
